The annual Go Far in Fargo Marathon event was this past weekend. Thousands of people. All there to run or to rock the runners. Live bands every mile. 5k, 10k, half and full runs. I love community events like this because they are filled to the brim with small stories like this and this. People running for a reason – sacrificing for a cause, raising money, supporting a loved one. This is the stuff communities are made of. This is the face of courage. For us sisters the weekend was filled with pre-run pasta, nerves and sleepless nights. Light rain and no winds. Grandma, Grandpa, and John cheering us on. Celebratory coffee and afternoon naps. Later celebratory motorcycle rides followed by whiskey & basking in the daylight.
All followed by a very hard and well deserved sleep.
You’re a brave girl, Sarah! Not just for rocking your first half,
but for training for weeks mentally and physically.
Couldn’t be more proud to call you sis!
